The Cosmopolitan Sports Club was founded in the year 1956 by the elite people of the society consisting doctors,
engineers,advocates and businessmen with noble objectives of promoting sports activities among themselves,students and young children, helping the poor and the needy in the society in their socio economic life,
and involving and participating in such activities with government institutions,our Salem District Sports Authority, various sports associations affiliated to the respective sports associations of the state, Junior Chamber International, Lions Clubs and Rotary Clubs.
The club is situated in the heart of Salem City with its own property in a calm residential area.
We are very proud to be vibrant always and regularly conduct sports events of Cricket, Hockey, Badminton, Tennis,
taekwondo, carom and chess. Our activities shown in this website will be a better proof than hearsay.
We are also very proud to have Dr.G.Soodamani M.S.,the First Worshipful Mayor of Salem City and also the Past President of our Club
Our Member P.Selvamani M.A.,.is the present Secretary of The Tamilnadu State Taekwondo Association and one of the Committee members of Tamilnadu State Olympic Association. Besides he is the one of the International Referee and holds the coveted title of 7th don in the sport. He is also the Technical Chairman of The Taekwondo Federation of India.
Our Members V.Babukumar, Hareesh Ramasamy, R.Kannan,M.Ravi and P.Muthukumar play a vibrant roll in The Salem District Cricket Association
as Secretary, Joint Secretary and Executive Committee members respectively..
